Future Teachers Academy
The Future Teachers Academy is a major component of the Partner School Network at Columbus State University. It is designed to recruit the best and brightest to the teaching profession. At a time when teachers are in great demand, this experience provides prospective teachers an opportunity to be a part of a profession that shapes the future on a daily basis

The students are registered for a high school course, Introduction to Education, that is taught from the syllabus of EDUC 2110, The American Educational Experience. Students, who complete the course with a minimum grade of "B" and are accepted into the College of Education, will receive credit for EDUC 2110 - Investigating Critical & Contemporary Issues in Education.

The Academy class began in February, 2000, and has proven to be the first step toward the teaching the career of many of our professional educators. The 40 hours of Field experiences provide countless opportunities for participants to experience first-hand the joy of making a difference in the lives of students.

The Future Teachers Academy has proven beneficial to many of our current educators. We invite you to explore this opportunity. If you would like more information on this program please contact Mr. Roger Hatcher, Partner School Network Coordinator, at 706-569-3118.
